Our Story
Aly Arismendy is a Colombian educator, university instructor, author, and early childhood education specialist with more than 25 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and educational leadership. With a strong family legacy in education and a lifelong commitment to the field, he has built a distinguished career dedicated to shaping young minds, supporting future educators, and strengthening learning communities.
He holds three bachelor’s degrees in education-related fields, including Early Childhood Education and Physical Education, as well as additional early childhood studies completed in the United States at North Seattle College. He also earned a master’s degree from Eastern Washington University and a doctorate from South College, accomplishments that reflect both his academic depth and his commitment to professional excellence.
Throughout his career, Aly has worked across diverse educational philosophies, programs, and teaching models, becoming widely recognized for his ability to design meaningful, organized, and culturally responsive curricula. He currently works with the City of Seattle in the field of early childhood education and also serves as a university instructor, bringing practical experience, leadership, and academic expertise to both children and adult learners.
In addition to his work in education, Aly is the author of What Classrooms Keep Quiet and The Art of Teaching in Early Childhood / El arte de la enseñanza de la primera infancia. He is also multilingual, speaking Spanish, English, Portuguese, and Wayuunaiki, which enriches his inclusive and culturally grounded approach to education.
