About Me
Bilingual Educator | Early Childhood Specialist | Web Designer | Author
With over 25 years of experience in early childhood education across Colombia and the United States, I am passionate about creating inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments where children, families, and educators thrive.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Washington University, a BAS in Early Childhood Education from North Seattle College, and two prior degrees from Colombia in Physical Education and Spanish Language & Cultural Education. This academic journey has shaped my ability to blend traditional knowledge with innovative, global perspectives.
Throughout my career, I have led bilingual classrooms using methods like Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Freire’s philosophy, coordinated preschool programs (SPP & ECEAP), trained teachers, and worked directly with families. I’ve also authored a bilingual book, “What the Classrooms Keep Quiet,” sharing real stories from inside the classroom.
In addition to my educational work, I am a certified TSG user, a creative website designer, and a dance instructor trained in Afro-Colombian styles. I bring energy, empathy, and vision to everything I do whether it's teaching a child, mentoring a colleague, or designing an engaging learning platform.
Let’s build a future where education is inclusive, transformative, and joyful.
