Why I Wrote The Art of Teaching in Early Childhood

After more than 25 years in early childhood education, I have learned something very important: many teachers walk into classrooms with heart… but without preparation.

They want to do well. They care deeply. But no one truly showed them how to build structure, routines, confidence, and leadership inside the classroom.

That is why I wrote The Art of Teaching in Early Childhood.

This book was not created in a weekend. It was built over decades — through real experiences, real mistakes, real growth, and real victories inside early childhood classrooms. It contains the curriculum I have developed over the years, the strategies that helped me succeed, and the “Meaningful Moments” that traditional curricula often ignore but that truly shape classroom culture.

I included practical tools, a complete January-to-December yearly plan, integrated activities, and clear guidance for teachers who need structure without losing creativity. My goal was simple: to make teaching easier, clearer, and more intentional — especially for those who were never formally trained but deeply want to improve.

This book was written with heart. It was written for the overwhelmed teacher. For the passionate assistant. For the educator who knows this work matters.

Teaching young children is not just planning activities. It is building foundations. It is creating safety. It is guiding little humans through their first experiences of structure, emotion, learning, and community.

Early childhood education is not just a profession.

It is an art.

And this book is my way of sharing everything I’ve learned.
